La Jolla Rotary Club’s Florence Riford Community Fund at The San Diego Foundation - In 1989, Rotary Club of La Jolla established Florence Riford Community Fund in honor of Florence S. Riford, the first woman member of the Club. The purpose of this fund is to further worthwhile activities, other than scholarships, in the La Jolla Community. The assets of the fund are administered by San Diego Community Foundation. Grants are made from the earnings of the fund under the direction of a committee comprised of five members of Rotary Club of La Jolla and two other members from the community.
