La Jolla Concerts by the Sea has been providing free summer concerts to the community since 1984. Every Sunday from July 7 through Labor Day weekend, Ellen Browning Scripps Park (click here for map) at La Jolla Cove is filled with the sounds of live music from 2 – 4pm.
Each season, we try to create a schedule that provides a wide variety of musical styles performed by local bands: rock-n-roll, jazz, swing, big band, country/western, and more! These family-friendly concerts are great for people of all ages, in an idyllic setting overlooking La Jolla Cove. It’s a great way to spend a summer Sunday afternoon.
We are a private non-profit organization of volunteers, whose sole purpose is to bring these concerts to the community. The concerts are funded by the generosity of our sponsors, as well as the proceeds from the concessions and raffle sales each week. We thank our sponsors and raffle prize donors for their support!
